The winners in each of these categories have already been chosen by a panel of judges who are obituary professionals. The People's Picks poll is just for fun and to let obit fans have their say.
The 2011 Grimmies will be presented on May 13 during the Society of Professional Obituary Writers Conference in St. Petersburg, Fla. The People's Picks, which is for bragging rights only, also will be announced at that time. For those who can't make it to the conference, the names of the winners will be posted on the Obituary Forum blog later that day.
That's all, folks! Thanks for your help.
